Rector: The Reverend Sean Leonard
Fr. Sean Leonard joined the St. Dunstan’s staff as rector in August of 2016. Most recently, he served for eight years as the rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Orchard Park, New York outside of Buffalo. Joining St. Dunstan’s returns Fr. Sean to New England where he grew and went to college. He spent his early years in Mansfield and his teenage years in South Hadley. He returned to southeastern Massachusetts to attend Bridgewater State College where he majored in Adaptive Physical Education. After college Fr. Sean moved to Pennsylvania, so that his wife Chrishelle could attend graduate school. During his time in Pennsylvania Fr. Sean, experienced, for the first time, the Episcopal Church. After a number of wonderful experiences in the Episcopal Church, Fr. Sean discerned a call to ordained ministry. From 2003 until 2006, Fr. Sean attended Virginia Theological Seminary. Upon graduation he returned to Pennsylvania to serve as the Assistant to the Rector for two years and then moved onto St. Mark’s Orchard Park.
Fr. Sean is married to Chrishelle a school psychologist in the Franklin. They have two wonderful children Alexis and Caden and a black lab named Dutch. In his free time, Fr. Sean enjoys biking, hiking, reading and watching New England sports teams.
